If you haven't already filed your tax return, chances are you aren't receiving a refund.  You may break even.  You may owe.  The best thing to do is file and find out!

There are so many easy to use websites out there that can help you figure out what you will or won't owe in just a few minutes.  My favorite is TaxAct.com.

Tax Act works in all 50 states.  You just answer the questions they ask.  At the end, they will present you with an accurate Federal tax return for free.  They  charge a nominal fee for filing your state return.  

I've used them for years.  If you haven't tried them yet, try them this tax season.  

If you owe or you have other problems with Uncle Sam, try the mother of all sites - IRS.gov.  There is no question that the IRS can't answer.  They are not out to get you.  They are there to help.

The most beautiful thing of all?  If the IRS gives you tax advice that turns out to be wrong, YOU ARE NOT LIABLE.
